Policy for Promoting Biodiversity
Recognizing that the natural environment and biodiversity are important foundations for a future sustainable society, JINS is promoting actions toward their preservation. In our efforts to preserve biodiversity, we are focusing on caring for the environment from both perspectives of business activities and regional contribution activities as actions for protecting a beautiful earth where all creatures live together in good balance and humans and nature coexist in harmony.
Initiatives
Initiatives Aimed at Preserving Biodiversity
JINS promotes environmentally friendly business activities and social contribution activities that take biodiversity into consideration. In some of our recently opened stores, we are reducing energy consumption by switching to solar power generation through the installation of solar panels, improving the insulation effect of store exterior walls, and installing highly energy-efficient air conditioners and ventilation systems. We are also promoting measures including reducing our carbon footprint by actively using domestic timber for store fixtures. We are also focusing on conserving ecosystems as part of our social contribution activities, such as planting trees in China, and will continue to strengthen our efforts toward becoming a company that promotes consideration for biodiversity.
