Sustainability Promotion System

JINS established the Sustainability Promotion Committee in 2021 to strengthen the promotion of sustainability activities and to increase the transparency of initiatives.

The “Sustainability Promotion Task Force” is comprised of representatives from each business. In addition to formulating corporate strategy that considers sustainability over the medium to long term, it manages implementation of measures of each business and each Group company. With a person responsible for management within each business department, effective governance is achieved by blending corporate strategy formulated by the Task Force into department policies and plans of action.

In addition, the “Sustainability Committee” deliberates on matters proposed by the Task Force and makes resolutions. During the meetings, the External Advisory Board comprised of outside experts reflects management from an objective outside perspective, respecting the findings and advisories in response to the Task Force’s consultations appropriately.

JINS has developed a system where each department can promote sustainability by making prompt and fair management decisions aimed at sustainable corporate growth.
