Selection Criteria and Monitoring System for Suppliers

Selection Criteria for Suppliers

JINS conducts preliminary surveys of major supplier factories using its own check sheets in the areas of governance, quality, environment, human rights, labor, health and safety, fair trade, and information security. In order to further improve and evolve this survey, we will distribute our own ESG evaluation check sheets to our supplier factories and ask them to self-evaluate, and then check each item to screen suppliers, thereby selecting suppliers with more appropriate human rights and labor management.

Monitoring System for Suppliers

>Monitoring System for Suppliers

Before starting business with new suppliers, we have our internal specialist department conduct monitoring based on internal regulations (such as supplier selection guidelines and standards), and present and explain the Supplier Code of Conduct to them. In addition, when hiring a supplier, we have an external audit organization monitor items such as governance, quality, environment, human rights, labor, health and safety, fair trade, and information security, and if there are any issues to be pointed out, we make ensure that improvements are being made. Existing suppliers are also monitored annually by the external audit organization mentioned above. Based on the results of the monitoring, we communicate with supplier factories, and if there are any issues to be pointed out, we work together to make improvements.
