Diversity Promotion System
To create a comfortable working environment for a diverse range of employees, JINS has assigned Diversity Promotion personnel in the Human Resources Strategy Department dedicated to promoting diversity. Working collaboratively with the Sustainability Committee, we are reforming systems and addressing issues to build a framework that strengthens our organization with diverse values and ideas, creating new value.

Initiatives Supporting Women's Careers
Creating an Environment Where Employees Can Easily Balance Childcare with Working
JINS is making various efforts to ensure that female employees can return to work worry-free after giving birth. We are building a framework to encourage female employees to return to work as a matter of course and are working to further spread this culture, and we have put in place a system of support to become a company where employees can work comfortably while balancing childcare with working. As a result of our sincere efforts to engage with and support eligible employees so that they can alleviate their concerns about having children and returning to work, we have achieved a ratio of employees returning to work after taking parental leave of 100% since 2020.

Program for Developing Women Managers
JINS will introduce career development support training for female employees and skill improvement training by job rank, enhance the leave system in stores, and raise awareness of the parental leave system among male employees to create workplace environments where a diverse range of personnel can play an active role, with the aim of achieving our goals by 2030; that is, the ratio of women in management positions at 30%, the ratio of women store directors at 50%, and the ratio of parental leave usage by both men and women at 100%.

Initiatives Promoting Understanding of Diversity
Conducting Diversity Training
JINS strives to foster a workplace culture where various viewpoints are respected and a diverse range of personnel can work with job satisfaction. We are continuously conducting LGBTQ+ training as an opportunity to deepen understanding of the LGBTQ+ community in order that each and every employee is knowledgeable about diversity and acts to respect diversity in their daily work.
Initiatives Supporting the Careers of People with Disabilities
Job Creation for People with Disabilities
JINS has set up relaxation rooms for Head Office employees so that they can relax and work efficiently during working hours. To this end, we have employed staff members with visual impairments to provide massage services on a full-time basis. JINS has also established JINS norma, a company that brings together disabled and able-bodied people in teams to carry out farm work, and is also engaged in business with the aim of realizing a new form of agricultural management. JINS norma has adopted a new management method in which every team member comes together and works in teams to carry out farm work regardless of whether they have a disability or not, and by doing so, realize “normalization,” which is the origin of the company name for this team farming, “JINS norma.” We hope to link this with creating new value. Our aim is not only to support the social independence of people with disabilities by giving them the opportunity to gain work experience in farming, but also to contribute to regional agriculture by making use, even if just a little, of abandoned farmland, which has been increasing due to a lack of farm workers.
