Making Your Day Better; Release of Glasses for Controlling Digital Devices “JINS ASSIST” on Wednesday, February 26

JINS Inc. (hereinafter “JINS”) releases JINS ASSIST, glasses that control digital devices intuitively with small movements of the head without using the hands, on Wednesday, February 26 at 11:00 AM in its online shop (www.jins.com) and the online store “Mirairo Store*1” within the digital disability certificate “Mirairo ID.”
*1: Mirairo Store is available through the smartphone application Mirairo ID (https://mirairo-id.jp/).
Contributing to Resolution of a Social Issue “Digital Divide,” Providing an Opportunity to Expand Your Possibilities
In 2015, JINS developed JINS MEME*2, an eyeglass-shaped wearable device under the slogan “The world's first eyewear to see yourself.” JINS has been researching ways to utilize the unique sensor technology mounted in JINS MEME as a controller (operation device). During our research, earnest requests were sent by people with disabilities and their families, “I would like JINS MEME to have mouse functions,” "I want to use digital devices to communicate more freely with my family." In response to these requests, JINS created a hands-free mouse JINS ASSIST.
With the acceleration of digitalization due to the advancement of IT, it has become the norm to use digital devices in every aspect of daily life. At the same time, the digital divide between those who can use IT and those who cannot has become a social issue. JINS ASSIST provides an opportunity for people who have suffered inconvenience from using digital devices to freely connect with the digital world, thereby increasing what they "can do" in their daily lives and expanding their own possibilities.
Successful development of the device that ensures comfort even after hours of use, is easy to use, and lets users control it freely by constantly incorporating customer feedback
JINS ASSIST enables you to control a PC with small movements of the head without using the hands. Through repeated open tests during the development process, JINS developed the device that is easy to use, ensures comfort even after hours of use, and lets users control it freely and intuitively by incorporating customer feedback.
To use the device, all you need to do is attach JINS ASSIST to your glasses and connect the connector to your PC. Since it is wired, there is no need to worry about charging or losing the connection. Since it does not require a lot of movement, you can use it for long periods of time without feeling tired. In addition to basic mouse functions, the device supports various operations such as shortcut keys and scrolling through add-ons of the supplementary software.
