JINS Signs Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Maebashi City to Enhance its Connection with the Community
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, JINS HOLDINGS Inc. (hereinafter “JINS”) signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, to promote mutual cooperation and collaboration, resolve regional issues, and improve local development and citizen services.
JINS has been committed to enhance its connection with local communities to address regional issues as a private company and grow together, particularly with Maebashi City where JINS was founded.
In April 2021, JINS opened a new facility called JINS PARK in Maebashi City that aims to become a hub for the local community. Aiming to create a place for people to socialize with each other, JINS PARK holds not only events hosted by JINS but also events hosted by local people almost every weekend. The facility also has Everypan, a bakery cafe run by JINS. In addition to eyewear, JINS also provides a place for people to communicate through food.
In September of the same year, JINS established the Community Symbiosis Business Department to address problems that local communities face and grow together with them. This department has been promoting the creation of local communities through activities such as running of workshops at JINS PARK and collaborating with local artists to work on art-related activities. In April 2023, JINS opened a roastery and coffee shop, the ONCA COFFEE & ROASTERY Maebashi Store as a part of its new businesses with the aim of creating a circulation of people and food in the local area and discovering further possibilities for connecting with the community. This is our new attempt to connect with local communities, which is an expansion of two projects: the creation of a place where people can communicate with each other and the JINS norma project, which encourages the active participation of diverse human resources through agricultural support.
In April 2024, our satellite office JINS HOLDINGS Inc. Maebashi Babakkawa Office, was launched to revitalize the central area of Maebashi and strengthen our BCP (Business Continuity Plan). JINS will contribute to the revitalization of the city center by expanding the scope of value creation as a company, creating new job opportunities, and encouraging more people to live in this area.
In order to further enhance its connection with local communities, JINS believes it is important to strengthen cooperation not only within the company, but also with various stakeholders such as local governments, educational institutions, and local companies and organizations. Through this comprehensive partnership agreement with Maebashi City, JINS will further strengthen cooperation with the city and contribute to a sustainable society as a company that is committed to solve issues faced by the local community and grow together with them.
