Spreading Culture from JINS Stores
JINS regularly carries out cultural support activities to promote the spread of art, music, architecture, and other diverse cultural activities from its stores. At JINS Shibuya, our flagship store, we hold a large number of special exhibitions at the second floor event space. Thus far, exhibitions have featured such artists as Yasuhiro Suzuki, Teppei Kaneuji, and Haruka Kojin. At JINS Harajuku, Enrico Isamu Oyama’s art decorates the store’s facade and interior walls, while JINS Kichijoji Daiyagai features art by Taro Izumi. Through this, we are creating opportunities for many people to get up close to art at JINS stores. Moreover, in July 2020, we held the art exhibition “¿Es dorada? JINS 2020 Spring/Summer” to help deepen understanding among more people than ever of the JINS brand, which aims to enrich the lives of each customer and unlock new experiences through “seeing.”

Invitation to Art
To take an action that embodies JINS’ brand value and its vision “Magnify Life,” we released the Miru-ticket in April 2024. JINS selects and offers a variety of special events to “view, watch, and see” something that enrich your life and you can‘t experience in your daily life, such as the latest entertainment, scenic views from around the world, and rare art experiences, and so on. We prepare different contents each month, and select and invite applicants randomly.
Office Art
The Tokyo Head Office exhibits works by artists that embody JINS’ vision of “Magnify Life.” JINS provides spaces and opportunities for young artists to showcase their works to more people.
Challenges to Realize the Future JINS Draws
JINS, which established its vision "Magnify Life," has added a tagline "Shining a New Light" to it in September 2024. We aim to enrich the way people live by casting a spotlight on possibilities that no one knows yet. As an action that embodies its brand value and vision, JINS participated in the lunar exploration program "HAKUTO-R" as a corporate partner. This program is conducted by a startup company specializing in outer space called ispace, inc. (hereinafter "ispace") If this program will be successful, ispace will become the first private company in Japan to succeed in moon surface exploration. We sympathize with ispace's stance of continuing to challenge a world full of possibilities that no one knows yet while overcoming difficulties and failures with the slogan of turning the moon into a living area. Together with ispace, we aim to create a landscape casted by a new light, and we will strive to contribute in broadening new perspectives for the future space industry.
Sponsoring the Daikanyama Photo Fair
Since 2017, JINS has sponsored the Daikanyama Photo Fair organized by the Fine-Art Photography Association as part of the company’s interest in the artistic culture of photography and cinema, which can only be expressed via a lens.
The “Magnify Photo” competition for young photographers was held in 2017. The Grand Prix winner was Koji Ishikawa, who was given the opportunity of a solo exhibition at the JINS Shibuya store.
In 2018, we invited photographers Takashi Homma and Yoshiyuki Okuyama to exhibit as part of two projects with the theme of “Portrait.”
Takashi Homma’s “With Eyeglasses” project featured portraits with topics including “Family,” “Me,” “Friends,” “Colleague,” and “Partner.” The project was exhibited at the JINS Shibuya and JINS Kyoto.
We also invited Yoshiyuki Okuyama to head a workshop titled “About Portraits.” Mr. Okuyama talked with members of the public participating in the workshop about portrait photography based on the various works that participants brought to the event, then created a new work on the spot while exchanging thoughts and opinions with the audience. Inviting a leading photographer to share his views provided an opportunity to further advance the expressive art of photography.
Architect Collaboration Stores
JINS has opened a number of stores created in collaboration with architects. Rather than a typical design, we create original spaces unique to each store that incorporate each architect’s artistic style and characteristics of the region where a store is based, and by doing so, offer a new purchasing experience for customers.
