JINS receives the highest AAA rating in MSCI ESG Ratings for the first time, evaluating global companies' ESG efforts

JINS HOLDINGS Inc. (Tokyo Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Founder & CEO: Hitoshi Tanaka, hereinafter “JINS”) has received the highest rating of AAA for the first time in the MSCI ESG Ratings, which evaluates companies worldwide based on their efforts and disclosure of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors. This achievement (released in March 2024) is an increase of one rank from the previous AA rating in March 2023.

JINS receives the highest AAA rating for the first time as a globally high-standard company for sustainability initiatives.

The MSCI ESG Ratings analyze how well companies manage ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) risks and rate them on a seven-point scale from AAA to CCC based on their exposure to ESG risks, as well as their effectiveness in managing those risks relative to their peers. This system is recognized as the global evaluation index for ESG investing.
JINS raises the sustainability vision of “Changing the Future Landscape Through Eyewear” and has taken initiatives to create social value through its business, continuously addressing social issues. In March 2023, JINS received an AA rating, marking a four-point increase from its previous B rating.
This time, our information disclosure related to 'environmental considerations,' 'maximizing human resources and upholding human rights,' and 'sound governance'—which are set as JINS' materiality—, including the carbon footprint calculation of JINS' signature products, employee management, and information security, is highly evaluated and leads us to receive the highest AAA rating.
