MSCI ESG Ratings
The MSCI ESG Ratings are a global index of ESG investing in which US firm MSCI analyzes the degree of companies’ risk management from the aspects of Environment, Social, and Governance to provide an evaluation at one of seven levels, from “AAA”, the highest rank, to “CCC”, the lowest. JINS has acquired the highest “AAA” rank in recognition of its ESG initiatives and information disclosure.

MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index
The MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index is an index that is composed of companies with high ESG ratings, with the MSCI Nihonkabu Investable Market Index as a parent index.

Porter Prize
The Porter Prize is awarded to companies and businesses that have achieved and maintained high profitability in their industries by implementing unique strategies based on innovation in products, processes, and management skills. JINS won the award in 2021 for its growth by resolving customer dissatisfaction with eyewear purchases, its customer experience that integrates offline and online, and its provision of value beyond vision correction.
DX Certification
The DX certification system is a system to certify companies (DX-Ready) that are ready to promote DX, including the formulation of a vision and the development of strategies and systems to achieve DX in accordance with the Digital Governance Code, based on the Act on Facilitation of Information Processing. JINS was certified on April 1, 2024.
D&I Award 2024
The D&I Award is an award which recognizes companies that engage in diversity & inclusion, and is presented by JobRainbow Co., Ltd. In 2024, JINS was recognized under the highest rank of “Best Workplace,” given to companies assessed as “companies leading in D&I which promote D&I at a high level not only in Japan but globally, which foster a corporate culture of D&I as a matter of course, and also have each individual employee actively take part in the promotion of D&I. The D&I philosophy is reflected in all aspects of these companies’ services, business, and corporate organization, which is then proliferated outside the company as well.”
Initiatives
United Nations Global Compact
The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest sustainability initiative which aligns the United Nations with companies and organizations to advance a sound global society. JINS registered as a participant on November 17, 2022, and has also joined the “Global Compact Network Japan,” comprised of Japanese companies that are UN Global Compact signatories.
Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures(TCFD)
TCFD is a Task Force established by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) at the request of the G20 which recommends companies to disclose the items of “Governance,” “Strategy,” “Risk Management,” and “Metrics and Targets” related to climate change risks and opportunities. JINS has implemented scenario analysis in 2022 on measures to respond to climate change. Based on this analysis, together with announcing approval of the TCFD recommendations, we disclosed the “TCFD Report” which compiles information on the risks and opportunities related to climate change impacting business based on these recommendations.
